Our Story
Plaques by Azra was established in 1974 by AunAli & Shirin Khalfan, and was named after their first born daughter, Azra Khalfan. With AunAli’s vision and passion and Shirin’s entrepreneurial spirit, the couple ran the business, raised three children, and became highly involved in serving their local community.
In 1997, the namesake of their company, Azra, joined the company as an engraver and head of customer service. Over the years, she has been a vital part of the management and now heads the entire company. She continues to oversee the business operations as she leverages her experience with incredible organizations, including the Goldman Sachs Foundation and the Tory Burch Foundation.
